Product Description:

These Adsorbent catalysts are non-regenerative adsorbent is the preferred product for removing trace HCl from Olefin-containing hydrocarbon streams. RXSOL Adsorbent Beads provides the highest chloride capacity in commercial service, while significantly minimizing green oil and organic chloride formation. Features and benefits include:

This RXSOL Adsorption Beads are the latest generation adsorbent for impurity removal.

Adsorbent is used to treat the net gas and LPG produced in catalytic reforming units, the reactor effluent from process units, and various liquid hydrocarbon streams.

Dechlorination catalyst is prepared using pseudo boehmite and metal active components with excellent dechlorination performance as raw materials by using a ball rolling process; It has the characteristics of rapid reaction with hydrogen chloride. The remarkable characteristics of this product are large specific surface area, rapid reaction, strong adaptability, high chlorine capacity, and wide application range. It can be used under different pressures and can be used to remove hydrogen chloride from a wide range of materials.

Mainly used in the rapid removal of hydrogen chloride from dry gas, liquefied gas (LPG), liquid hydrocarbons, and synthesis gas in reforming units, isomerization units, dehydrogenation units, and synthesis gas units; In particular, an ideal adsorbent for the removal of hydrogen chloride from olefin containing materials can significantly reduce the generation of green oil and organic chlorides.

Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 removes chloride (primarily as hydrogen chloride, HCl, or chloride ions) through a high-affinity chemisorption and physical adsorption process onto its porous aluminum oxide surface.
 
How Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 Works
  • High Surface Area: Activated alumina features a porous structure with a high surface area (often exceeding 200 m²/g), providing extensive contact sites.
  • Chemically Active Sites: The surface reacts with gaseous or liquid contaminants (like HCl in industrial streams or chloride ions in water) to trap them permanently within the matrix.
  • Promoted Formulations: Special active promoters are often added to activated alumina to maximize chloride loading capacity and prevent unwanted side reactions like green oil formation.

Where are Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 used?

  • Petrochemical & Refining: Used in fixed guard beds to strip HCl from reformer hydrogen gas streams, liquid hydrocarbons, and feedstocks to prevent equipment corrosion and catalyst poisoning.
  • Water Treatment: Applied to capture residual chloride or chlorine-related ions and anions from industrial process water or wastewater.
  • Air Purification: Helps remove gaseous chlorine and halogenated compounds from industrial exhaust or manufacturing environments.
Industrial area:
Surface area is in the range 345-415. Because it has a higher capacity for water than Silica Gel at elevated temperatures it is mainly used as a desiccant for warm gases including air. In many commercial applications zeolitic materials have now replaced it.
