Sodium Aluminate

Product code RXSOL-40-6263-100

Sodium Aluminate is an inorganic chemical that is used as an effective source of aluminium hydroxide for many industrial and technical applications.

Description

Sodium aluminate used industrially as a coagulant and flocculant in water treatment, a mordant in fabric printing, and in the production of paper, alumina-based catalysts, and zeolites. Sodium aluminate reduce the effluent pH below acceptable discharge levels and deplete the available alkalinity.

Application
Application

Sodium Aluminate is produced by reacting sodium hydroxide with aluminum oxide or bauxite, and is a corrosive substance that can cause severe skin burns and eye damage. Sodium aluminate (formula NaAlO₂) is an inorganic white solid, often found in solution.
