RXSOL Antiscalant water additives, used as pretreatment for Reverse Osmosis systems, are highly effective in preventing membrane scaling.  Applied Membranes carries a large inventory of RXSOL Antiscalant at competitive prices with technical support.  Our design engineers can help you determine the proper dosing for our application.  Most products in stock for immediate shipment.

Application
Application

Without some means of upstream scale inhibition, RO membranes and their flow passages will foul due to scale, the precipitation of sparingly soluble salts. Common examples of scale are calcium carbonate (CaCO3), calcium sulfate (CASO4), barium sulfate (BaSO4), and strontium sulfate (SrSO4). Less common but equally problematic are silica (SiO2) and calcium fluoride (CaF) scales.

Dissolved iron salts are stabilized through the sequestration mechanism, in addition, suspended sediments containing iron in the form of Fe (OH) 3, FePO4, FeCO3 will stabilize through the dispersion mechanism. A reagent having such a double action remains effective over a wide pH range (6

Precautions
Precautions

Precautionary measures : Use protective gloves and goggles. If the reagent enters the skin, eyes, rinse with plenty of water, consult a doctor.  If a reagent leakage is collected with sand or other absorbent material, rinse the contaminated surface with water.  Before use, read the additional information in the Safety Instructions.
