Product Description:
Chlorine scavengers easily remove free and chemically combined chlorine from surrounding. Chlorine Scavenger developed with such formulation which is suitable for RO system feedwaters to protect membranes from oxidation damage by chlorine presence.
Product Application:

Chlorine scavengers are actives that react with chlorine or with chlorine-generating materials, such as hypochlorite, to eliminate or reduce the bleaching activity and corrosion effect.

APPLICATION::

1. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems:

  • Protection of Membranes: Chlorine in feedwater can permanently damage RO membranes, leading to their replacement. Chlorine scavengers like AntiChlor 427 (a modified, odorless liquid sodium bisulfite formulation) are used to remove chlorine before it reaches the membranes.
  • Potable Water Systems: AntiChlor 30, a liquid dechlorinating agent, is used as a mild, non-oxidizing biostat or injected into RO feedwaters to protect polyamide membranes from permanent damage caused by chlorine. 

2. Other Applications:

  • Water Treatment: Chlorine scavengers are used to remove chlorine from water supplies, ensuring water quality and preventing chlorine-related issues. 
  • Industrial Processes: They are used in various industries, including pulp and paper, cleaning products, mining, bleach manufacturing, and plastics manufacturing. 
  • Detergent Compositions: Some chlorine scavengers are used in detergent compositions to prevent enzyme deactivation by residual chlorine. 
  • Fabric Softening: Chlorine scavengers can be used in fabric softening compositions to eliminate or reduce the bleaching activity of chlorine materials. 
  • Swimming Pool Water: Chlorine is added to swimming pools to kill germs, and chlorine scavengers can be used to remove excess chlorine.
